An excellent weekend of competitive golf culminated with a first champion golfer of the year win for Ross Andrew, with a combined Gross Score of 70+75=145, congratulations and well played Ross. Andy Wiltshire, attempting to win his 10th CC, finished runner up with scores of 74+73=147 with Tom Hough in third place with 73+76=149. The Ladies Championship, and claiming her 11th Weale Trophy, was Chantelle Shaw from runner up June Highley, congratulations and well played Chantelle. Our Tigers Championship being won with a fantastic Nett 64 by Tony Smith. The Rabbits Championship winner with a Nett 65 was Rob Slater. Congratulations to you both. Our Ladies best 36 Nett winner was Christine Davison, whilst Jessica Gittings claimed the best 18 Nett prize. Well played Ladies. Finally with thanks to Jason Shaw for his hard work late into the evening on both days in reconciling all the scores, Ian and Jeff in the Pro Shop and to Gary and his team for presenting the course in excellent condition.
