At Pontefract & District Golf Club, our duty of care drives everything that we do; safety and wellbeing of our members and staff is the absolute priority of the Board of Directors. Also as a community, we must do our best to contain and delay the spread of the COVID-19 virus, as a result the Board have agreed to adopt the following guidelines to help us all get through the coming weeks. At this stage the golfing bodies of England Golf, BIGGA and the PGA are saying, provided measures of personal hygiene are followed, there is only a small risk of being exposed to the virus on the golf course.click here to view a message from Gary Anderson. When completing your round of golf, and if you need to return your score card, just sign and return your card in the box underneath the computer in the 19th bar, the touch screen will be out of use until further notice. If you wish to stay for a drink, please use the 19th, Lounge and Patio areas to help with social distancing. Unfortunately all social events using the clubhouse have been cancelled until further notice, these include the upcoming March 200 Club scheduled for Saturday 28th March and the reception buffet for the Captain’s Drive-In the following day. The current situation is very fluid and changes could occur at any stage by the Government, so please keep your eye on the website and V1 App for the latest developments. We have been established since 1904 and we’ve weathered turbulent times; looking after each other and putting people first will help us get through this situation and we remain committed to your safety and wellbeing. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support of this great club. Malcolm Huddlestone, Club Captain 2020, for and on behalf of the Board of Directors.
