Following today’s government announcement, which come into effect on Thursday 24th September, Members are advised, in line with pubs and restaurants, that a table only service will be implemented from this date in the 19th bar and lounge. As a result, this will mean additional bar staff will have to be on duty for the foreseeable future to meet the demand at busy times. The additional staffing costs involved will have to be covered and the Board of Directors have agreed that our wet sale prices will increase by 10p per pint, 5p per half pint and 5p on bar snacks with effect from the above date. Until now we have been able to absorb the extra costs that Covid 19 has generated, having a minimal increase last year that equaled the brewery increase to us and unlike most pubs and bars, our prices haven’t increased since we reopened on the 4th July. We ask that Members observe any instruction given by staff and in helping us to maintain a Covid secure environment for everyone attending the Club. Finally, we would appreciate your patience as service will take a little longer than usual. Thank you.
