London buses as they say….. following Andrew Russell’s hole in one on the 17th recently, congratulations go to Calum Butler who aced the same hole in the Saturday Stableford. Calum, playing with Ryan Armitage, informs me he hit an 8-iron into the green from the yellow tee to record his second ace since he took up the game in 2016. The first on our 14th was in a casual round the week before joining the Club in 2019, that achievement being a factor in Calum taking up a membership to compete regularly. Calum signed off by saying ”it was a very nice feeling”, even happy to pay the bar bill I’m sure!
