Odds of approximately 69 million to 1 were landed by Martyn Williscroft when achieving an incredible hole in one in consecutive rounds on the same hole (14th) in the Wednesday Stableford and Club Championship Saturday. Martyn informs me this is now his 4th HIO, on the 14th again and 7th since he took up the game 26 years ago. Playing partners on the Wednesday were Bryn Armstrong and son Billy, whilst on Saturday Jamie Simmons and son Billy witnessed the achievement to much astonishment, not least by Martyn himself. Club selection used on the Wednesday was a 6 iron, with a 7-iron used in a wind assisted shot on Saturday, both approximately 175 yards. Brilliant, well played Martyn!
