Local Rule E-5 Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds.
The new rules of golf have included an option for a local rule that when a ball is lost or is Out of Bounds it allows a ball to be dropped under a 2 shot penalty near the point where the ball was lost or went Out of Bounds. This rule will not be introduced at Pontefract and District Golf Club. CONGU, the national handicapping authority, at present does not allow it for rounds that are counting for handicap purposes.
