Monday night saw the scratch team return to league action at home to Moortown. First out was Tom Hough against Niall Langley-Brook, a match which was nip and tuck all the way until a good putt holed on 16 saw Moortown dormie 2 up. Tom, however didn’t give up and fought back to win the last 2 to secure a half. 2nd out was Jason Newton ,who was making his debut for Pontefract, against Billy Snowden . A slow start saw Jason 3 down after the front nine but saw out the back nine in 5 under par to take the second match 2&1. Last out was Andy Wiltshire against Jeevan Notey. Andy played steady away and was always just in front until the torrential downpour halfway through the back nine and saw Jeevan win 2 on the bounce to make it all square with 2 to play. Andy brought the match home however with a win on 17 and a safe par on the last make it 5-1 to Pontefract on the night. Thanks to all those who came out to watch and support the lads.
