The scratch team hosted Moortown on Monday evening hoping to get back to winning ways. The team was Andy, Ross and Tom. Apologies for updates over recent weeks firstly. Tom was first out and in a game that was very nip and tuck saw Tom trail by two holes after nine but quickly got back all square around the turn in which the match remained level. A great birdie from The Moortown player saw him win 17 and then held with Tom narrowly missing out losing 1 down. Second out was Ross, who got off to a quick start winning the first two holes and remained 2 up until the 9th where a birdie saw him go 3 up, a birdie on 13 resulted in him being 4 up, gave one back on 14 but 2 pars saw a 3&2 win. Last out was Andy after his outing for the Leeds and District scratch team the day before. Andy got off to an absolute flyer winning the first 6 holes in a row and playing some great golf. Andy continued to put the pressure on and when the match came to its close was 3 under par winning his match 8&7! Next week the team travel to Wakefield hoping to continue where they left off this week!
