Monday night saw the scratch team travel to Wakefield with it being so tightly bunched in the league a win would be crucial! First out was Tom, who is continuing to play excellent golf. A couple of mistakes from Tom and his opponent had the game wide open however the game would finish with him narrowly losing out 2&1. Next out was Ross who quickly got into stride and found himself 4 up through 7 and then 6 up after 9. Ross lost the 10th but would go on to win 6&5. Last out was Andy again in fine form but taking on a player he has had some superb battles with. In a nip and tuck game Andy stuck in playing some great golf to go on to win 2&1. Securing a superb win away at Wakefield. Thursday night saw us welcome Darrington who fielded a strong side in the scratch knockout with a chance to reach the semi finals! First out was Tom and despite a rocky start soon clicked into gear with superb birdies on 11 and 12, Tom went on to win 3&2. Andy went out second and after losing the first, would also get into stride quickly and soon take control of the match. Playing solid golf Andy continued to heap on the pressure and win 5&4. Last out was Ross who started strongly and was 4 up after 8 holes. A late rally with a couple of birdies from the Darrington player on 13 an 14 kept Ross on his toes but would win 3&2. The team on Monday night will be Tom Hough, Andy Wiltshire and Ross Andrew away to Wike.
