This match was one of those that initially fell victim to COVID or at least the fixture at Selby in early April did, many thanks to all who went the extra mile in getting our home fixture organised, thanks goes to Alan Hood as the recruiting sergeant for the seniors section  also to Keith Williams for stepping in at extremely short notice. The match itself – as we knew – would be extremely tight as our past encounters have proved to be quite competitive, It was played in good spirit even on the freshly spiked greens, I have never had any doubt in our teams ability as the match finished three games each – an honourable draw, Selby fielded a formidable team and we look forward to the away fixture next year. All players understood the need for planned maintenance. Many thanks to Ron, Jackie, Julie and the waitresses for making the post match gathering run smoothly. John Gough MBE Seniors Captain.
