Many thanks to all the seniors who played and especially those who played at short notice. The meal and table service provided by Ron and Jackie again was top notch, the bar service by Julie was welcome after a hot day. The matches were played in great spirit, weather and course conditions, testament to the green staffs hard work were the amount of compliments we received on the presentation of the course. I’m not surprised by the result of six holes to nil in favour of Pontefract, our seniors are quite competitive. The standout result was Steve Kilbride and Damian Nelson winning their match six and four. The Cobble Hall Captain and his team were gracious in the result and we look forward to the return fixture in 2022. We/I are/am still looking for a seniors vice captain for 2021. Thank you.
