The latest draw of our lottery to raise funds for Project Patio took place today in the 19th, the draw being made by Jack McKee. The winning number was 375 which was purchased by Club legend Wilf Smith netting him a very nice prize of £125, many congratulations. Jamie Stares then performed the ‘bonus ball’ draw and number 11 came out so a capped bonus pot of £1,000 rolls over to the next draw when there will now be 12 balls left in the bag. Finally, £145 was raised for the project bringing the running total to £8,398. The project is now gathering real momentum and those of you who have been at the Club will notice that work has commenced on the new retaining wall. Once this is complete Club members will begin preparing the base for the new surface. This will be followed by the installation of the glass balustrade and finally new furniture, hopefully in time for the start of the season. We are continuing with our fund raising efforts and this has been boosted by a compensation payment from Yorkshire Water following their burst pipe encroaching on the course last year bringing the total to £12,698. In addition, the latest ‘Buy a Brick’ order is ready to go in so make sure you have yours in asap. Tickets are now on sale again and the next draw will take place on Monday 23rd February when the entry sheet will be available for the Captain’s Drive-In double shotgun. Many thanks to those who bought tickets and we look forward to many more of you doing so to help us make great strides to achieving our objective and for you to win a decent pot, particularly if number 9 is drawn.
